Accolades
One of the pleasures that comes with winemaking is sharing our wine with others.
The 2013 vintage was the debut vintage for many of our wines and receiving such complimentary reviews and ratings from the acclaimed wine press was exciting. We are thrilled to continue the trend with the 2014, 2015, and 2016 VINTAGES and share some of these accolades with you.
A baked bread tone leads to a bouquet of densely packed strawberry and blueberry in this wine. The palate is driven by a tangy citrus flavor and accentuated by a lingering layer of Asian spice on the finish. — Virginie Boone

One of the flagship cuvées is the 2016 Pinot Noir 1861 Vineyard and it has an incredibly pure, elegant style that doesn’t skimp on fruit or texture. Black cherries, leafy herbs, compost, and forest floor notes all flow to a medium to full-bodied Pinot Noir that has nicely integrated acidity, a straight, focused texture, and beautiful overall balance and length. It's a smoking good Pinot Noir and well worth seeking out. — Jeb Dunnuck

A smaller selection from the vineyard, the 2016 Pinot Noir Anne Katherina Vineyard Farmhouse was brought up in 75% new French oak, which is slightly more than the straight Anne Katherina Vineyard. Its ruby color is followed by exotic notes of red plums, candied orange rind, spice box, wood smoke, and toasted spice. Rich, full-bodied, powerful, and opulent on the palate, it has sweet tannins, a great finish, and is loaded with character. — Jeb Dunnuck

I loved the 2015 Pinot Noir King Ridge Vineyard, a rich, serious effort that has terrific freshness and focus. Blackberries, scorched earth, and toasted spice notes all emerge from the glass. With high yet nicely integrated acidity, fine tannin, and a great finish, it’s an outstanding Pinot Noir from the cooler Fort Ross-Seaview AVA that’s going to benefit from a year or two of bottle age and drink nicely for at least 7-8 years. - Jeb Dunnuck
